Alan Rae
After 10 years of piano lessons Alan rebelled and bought his first guitar at 16 and spent the next 14 years playing folk, blues and soft rock in pubs, clubs, restaurants and balls. He founded Bacchus with June Tabor while at University. Kids intervened. At 40 he got an electric piano & focused on Jazz, playing for the Heavenly Blues Band in Lancashire and a couple of shows around Guildford in 2005.
Alan is an experienced anchor man used to holding down the rhythm - his voice isn't bad either and he always performs the hell out of a song. When not playing in the band he sometimes sneaks off to jam in folk sessions.
