Heavenly Blues

Heavenly Blues are Rhiannon Hill and Alan Rae

Rhiannon Hill

Rhiannon has been playing music all her life and has played in bands ranging from Folk Rock to Techno, most recently playing electric fiddle with "Mr Anchovy". She studied violin at Guildhall School of Music and Drama from 11, studied singing with John Steel on and off for 16 years from the seventies. Has been in original rock bands and covers duos ever since, and ran a recording studio and PA hire in the 80s. Users of the studio included Fatboy Slim. She provides the gig experience that means we can deliver a convincing set that will entertain your guests or customers.

Alan Rae

After 10 years of piano lessons Alan rebelled and bought his first guitar at 16 and spent the next 14 years  playing folk, blues and soft rock in pubs, clubs, restaurants and balls. He founded Bacchus with June Tabor while at University. Kids intervened. At 40 he got an electric piano & focused on Jazz, playing for the Heavenly  Blues Band in Lancashire and a couple of shows around Guildford in 2005.

Alan is an experienced anchor man used to holding down the rhythm - his voice isn't bad either and he always performs the hell out of a song. When not playing in the band he sometimes sneaks off to jam in folk sessions.
