Values - what you stand for

Setting up in business is all about following your passion. For some people its about money but for most of us it's about having a vehicle to do something that we love to do.

Your values will be reflected in everything you do - what products you seek to offer, how you produce them, how you describe them and how you motivate your staff.

Once your way of doing things is established it forms the basis of your brand - your promise to your customers about how you will treat them consistently and well. And how you will make sure that the people who work for you do the same. The diagram is taken from one of our tools to help you make the connection.

Our values

When we set our current business up, one of the first things we did was establish what our own values were. We distilled it down to 10 main principles of doing business. We've listed them here

We wanted to combine the best of technology with good people management. - the hallmark of a knowledge economy business.

What we can offer

We can help you develop your own list. Either via microconsultancy or face to face. Either working with you individually or running a workshop for your top team. We can even help you develop your purpose using Dudley Lynch's Path Primer tool. More details on this half day session here.

We have successfully run sessions for companies who feel they need to re-brand. This required 2 days with the top team. Half a day to talk to them individually about their values. A one day away-day and a half day debrief to set the foundations for a follow-on branding session. Details of this Values and Vision Worshop are here..

Why we can help you

Unusually for a consultancy company we have a practical bias. We have 25 years experience of running growth businesses in IT, Business Training, Internet trading and horticulture. Currently we run a £0.5 Million internet trading company - Plants4Presents - and a 10 employee Organic Vegetable Business. These give us a real-life basis for our consultancy and training business that underpins our research into how companies actually use IT to promote themselves and improve performance as they grow.
