What do we mean by the networked economy?
Since the mid ’90s there has been a total change in the way in which business is conducted.
Email, websites, networks, mobile working and broadband have completely transformed the way we all work. We take it for granted that we can pick up email on the move, wherever we are and have access to our central data store via secure wireless connections. For the first time the small business can gain a level playing field with larger players.
In parallel with these developments, there has been a rise in the number of large companies outsourcing quite key corporate functions to small businesses, who as a matter of course need to be able to work with each other in ad hoc combinations. A key skill is knowing how to do this reliably – when to take the lead and when to be a member of some-one else’s gang.
Achieving success in this environment means
It means understanding and utilising the sophisticated technology available, including the increasing range of on line and electronic marketing tools.
Our one day web clinics are designed to help you understand the use of interactivity on web-sites. We cover how to build free downloads, order taking and accepting payments into your website as well as how to increase traffic to your site.
But the networked economy is about more than just your website its about using all the tools available. We can offer one on one consultation on everything from how to successfully trade with larger organisations to how to get more from online advertising. In particular we can advise how online and offline networking will facilitate building the coalitions you need to leverage off each other's sales activities
We have put together a couple of free downloads to get you thinking. But to really realise your potential you need to develop a strategy and tools that work for YOUR business.
